One of the more challenging/interesting things that happened while making this effect was having to rotate the sharp debris that comes out of the ground to basically face away from the middle. This is some decently simple math, but it was just one of those instances where VFX requires and thrives off of math that I love so much.
This cards effect consists of a set of sharp rocks erupting from the ground rather abruptly, spitting out some debris and leaving behind a crater that lingers a bit longer.
It's really quite simple, as it should be for a lower cost card, but I think it captures the earth-bender-ey vibe I was trying to go for the best.
