The end of the effect with the ever so slight whisp of smoke coming off of the ground.
I think the most important thing to consider with this effect was anticipation. This card's effect allows you to erase any enemy from the field no matter how strong they are. This is a powerful spell and the effect should obviously reflect that. One of the best ways to make something seems powerful in my opinion is to have it have to "charge up", which I do with the summon symbols here. While those symbols form im sure the enemy under them is waiting with baited breath on what is about to happen to them.
The impact itself is also obviously quite important, but I find that a lot more easy to do usually.
The lingering effects here work well for that purpose too. This spell is so strong it leaves the ground burned for a while and causes a whisp of smoke to come out from where the enemy once stood. Powerful stuff.
Oh boy this is probably one of my favourites arcross the whole game. I think I did really well with this one.
In this effect the full might of the sun is channeled through some weird summoning symbols and is the brought down upon the enemy, leaving only a whisp of smoke.

Texture for the "summon symbols". These appear in 3 stages, which each getting another, bigger one added once the beam actually fires, whith the outer ones rotating around the inner ones slowly.

Then there are these pretty basic ground cracks that combine with the crater texture to form the impact area of the beam.
